How We Got Here

Jeff Leath put his faith in Jesus and was baptized in 2003. Living life as a single dad by 2005 and struggling, he leaned in hard on the Lord to carry him through the struggle and hard times. He began asking the Lord to show him what He wanted him to do with this life on earth until the Lord takes him to his eternal home. Over the course of a few years, journaling, studying the word and praying to seek His guidance, the Lord shared a vision one night in July of 2007. The vision included and old barn, rustic, and a place to unplug from the world and to plug into God. With the help of close friends and family, Nehemiah Ranch was born out of the vision the Lord lay on Jeff’s heart that night. A place where we worship, glorify, and honor the Lord in all we do. Out of this love for the Lord came to be our Fall Harvest Days events where we give back to the community with a festival the first 3 Saturday evenings in October every year. We also provide a space and environment rich in prayer for other gatherings throughout the year. We as the family and organization have grown and changed. Many family and friends have moved on to other callings, the Lord has been faithful to provide help with wonderful volunteers, advisory board of Christ centered individuals, and a wife that loves the Lord with all her heart, mind and strength. With Christ power, provision, and direction we will continue on our mission of the ranch for many years to come.

“Whenever I visit the ranch, I just feel the peace and the presence of God as soon as I step a foot on the property. I often come to the ranch to have alone time with God, pray & read my Bible, and I have also had our church leadership planning and meetings here. I love it here!”

— Chad Parks, Lead Pastor of Second Chance Church
